Mission and Values

“Education First Work Later” is dedicated to bring back the working children to school in Bangladesh by providing education scholarship. It strongly believes that each child is full of endless possibilities; by giving proper education to the kids whose family can’t afford them to send school rather engage them in early work for living; will positively pay back to the society by their post-education work. Education First Work Later raises funding from the people who think “All children should get education; no matter what his/her family’s financial situation is” and provide scholarship to the underprivileged kids of Bangladesh. It is partnering with ‘Grameen Shikkha” – a sister organization of Grameen Bank which is highly experienced in scholarship management of rural education development. It deploys a perpetual based scholarship program where scholarship is given from the interest of the principal amount; so same principal amount can be used for bringing back working kids to school year after year.

Founded in February 2006 by a small group of “Japanese Ministry of Education –Monbusho Scholar” & “Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar” from Bangladesh who understood the impact of the education scholarship in their own life and how it helped them to grow as a global community service holder, Education First Work Later” is a non-profit organization whose members are actively volunteering for the improvement of children education in Bangladesh.
