How It Works:

1)      It is your money, your donation. Put your name (or your proposed name) on the scholarship name. Scholarship will be given in the name of “Education First Work Later: your name Scholarship” ex. “Education First Work Later: David Boochever Scholarship” if David donate the money and decide his name as scholarship name

2)      $750.00 (50,000 Taka in local currency) will be used as principle amount for one scholarship. Grameen Shikkha provides scholarship administrative and management support with 6% interest on principle amount by Grameen Bank. It generates $45 (3000 Taka) yearly interest and $3.75 (250 Taka) will be provided monthly to one children as scholarship to bring back to school . Grameen Shikkha has over 10 years of experience of selecting the candidate and managing the scholarship program.

3)      Since school drop out is higher when children move to Middle school from full-free primary education, scholarship will be provided to middle school students. In Bangladesh, middle school is a 5-year education program, so one time $750 donation will bring back one new kid to school in every 5-year in perpetual basis
